Drops of Hope is a lactation and wellness consulting company. To help expand and reach its goal of building and supporting stronger, healthier families from the start, owner Lauren David knew she needed to have a professional logo to advance the growth of her company.
The Client:
Drops of Hope is a consultation company in which Lauren David strives to serve her clients in multiple ways. She provides private practice in-home lactation consulting to help moms and babies reach their breastfeeding goals. Lauren also serves her clients as a doTERRA Wellness Advocate, in which she provides essential oils to help clients of all ages improve their health using natural methods.
The Request:
Lauren wanted her brand to convey love and trust while highlighting elements of nature. She wants her clients to recognize her as “someone who cares about them and wants the best for their whole family, from feeding/diet to avoiding toxins and harmful substances as God intended.” Lauren wanted to use the image of a tree, specifically the Angel Oak with its grand roots and branches. The goal of using the tree was trifold. First, she wanted to show the alignment of her brand with the meaning of the Tree of Life. Second, she wanted to signify that her services provide support to the whole family (family tree). Third, she wanted to highlight the natural side of the solutions she provides. She also thought it was important to incorporate a drop into the design to signify breastmilk and essential oils, which are both important aspects of her consulting.
The Result:
The final logo encapsulated all of her requests and more. The drawn tree and script font highlight the humanistic feel of her company. The drop is prominently placed to show the important role it plays within her consulting. The rich colors are warm and inviting. Finally, hidden within thetree trunk of the logo are two faces to portray the mother and baby served in the lactation portion of her services.
“Sarah was very sweet, super easy to work with and was quick to respond anytime I reached out. I loved how the intake process pushed me to think deeply about my brand design and my business, and especially how she was able to talk me through my scattered abstract thoughts about my brand and put them into the final product. She was also great at giving advice on different aspects of what would or wouldn't work as well. I would definitely recommend her!”
- Lauren David
At the end:
At the end of each logo design project, I provide my client with a Brand Guide and all the file formats they’ll need to use their logo effectively.. For this logo, the Brand Guide looked like this.
