Designing in black and white can present some challenges but it can be fun too! It is so chic and classic. It can also be modern and edgy.
This wedding stationery package was particularly fun to do. Without the use of color, the design needs to lean on another aspect to make it interesting. In this case, intricate lace details were present in some way on each piece. The way it peaks from the corner on the invitation or sweeps across the page as it does on the belly band. It creates fun edges and spaces for the text to live.
The fonts are a fun mix of traditional script and modern san serif. This combination lends itself well with the chic, classic and modern treatment of the color.
The minimal color scheme wasn’t the only fun part of this project. Allison wanted the pieces to stack and to have a belly band to hold them together. This was achieved by having different heights and widths of cards. When it was all put together, it made for a beautiful and organized presentation.
This stationery package consisted of a Save the date (not pictured), Invitation, Directions Card, RSVP Card, Rehearsal Dinner Invitation, Rehearsal Dinner RSVP Card, Belly Band and Program.
”Sarah was so amazing to work with and her talent speaks for itself! My husband and I had a general idea that we agreed upon. Sarah was able to take our ideas and combine them into a beautiful and romantic, yet not too feminine, design. Sarah was so helpful in the details of the different elements of the invitations and ceremony programs! I still love looking back on them over 5 years later!”
