Where this project began?

In 2022, I focused on drawing each month’s flower for the whole month all year. By the end of the year, I had a bunch of sketches of beautiful flowers. I love that each flower had a meaning. My faith is very important to me. I also have a passion for self affirmations and building people up. I decided I wanted to piece together all of these things. That’s when the Blooming Blessings Coloring Book was developed.

I was putting the finishing touches on Blooming Blessings Coloring Book in the beginning of August 2023. At that time, life needed our attention. The coloring book needed to take a back seat.

She is perfect!

On August 24, 2023, we learned of our daughter’s passing before her birth. On August 26, Ava Rose was delivered. Her name means Life Love. She is perfect! We knew right away she was with the Lord and other loved ones. Her 20 week life has filled us with such joy. The blessings we have received from her life have been bountiful. Her sisters were so excited for her to arrive. They now talk about their Baby Angel who will always be watching over them. We all spent precious time together up at the hospital.

Ava Rose will remain in our lives and hearts forever.

Finishing the Project

After taking some much needed time off, I wanted to honor Ava Rose in a special way. After an idea from a family member, I decided to make a tribute to her on the back cover of the coloring book. Hence, The Ava Rose Project was created.
